TSA Weekly: The Right Shift Can Make All The Difference read on kellylgabel.com | May 07, 2025 Hi there, Reader! 🧠 Thought of the Week Being on hiatus from the podcast has been a nice break so far, but it’s also shown me something really important about myself. I’m a talker. I’ve mentioned before how, when I first started doing email marketing back in my voice coaching business, it was a huge struggle. I never felt like I had anything to say, which was weird because when I had students in my studio for a lesson, I had plenty to say…so why was it such a struggle to write a simple email each week? Then I thought that blogging was the answer, but it turns out, blogging felt like a chore. 😣 Now, I’ve definitely learned that a key ingredient of my email marketing is just simple self-discipline and a solid system…but one of the most impactful things I’ve learned is that talking feels natural to me. Even though it’s technically more work for me to start with a podcast (outlining what I want to say, filming the episode, editing, creating thumbnails, etc.), it just feels so much more aligned with who I am, so it actually feels like less work! If something in your business, that you know you need to figure out a way to keep doing, just feels like such a chore…that’s probably because you haven’t found the right shift yet. ⚙️ Streamline Your Week Last week we were talking about how impactful even the smallest actions can be and I shared a super simple and small action I recently took that helped to streamline part of my process. Check it out: 🎯Take Action Think about that task in your business that feels like a chore (like my example of regularly emailing my audience). Start by taking a moment to re-evaluate that task. Does it really need to be a part of your business? If the answer is yes, then this is your sign to start brainstorming a fresh approach. Ask yourself these questions: What is the most painful aspect of that task? Can it be automated? Could I approach it in a different way that would feel more natural to me?
