TSA Weekly: You can't do it all...and it's better when you don't try to! read on kellylgabel.com | February 19, 2025 Hi there, Reader! 🧠 Thought of the Week For far too long, I bought into the lie that I not only could do everything, but that I had to. I assumed that when I saw a successful person in my industry doing something, it meant that I “should” do it, too…especially since so often, that’s what they were saying! This right here is the root of my dislike for the “S” word, by the way. Attempting to keep up with everyone else’s strategy was literally killing me…ok, not literally, but it was killing my desire to be a business owner! Have you ever felt this way? Have I ever made you feel this way? (gosh, I hope not!) If so, then I have the most amazing news for you this week…not only do you not have to do it all…it’s way better when you don’t try to! I went into this in more depth this week on the TSA Weekly Podcast. Check it out to learn which question you need to ask yourself when deciding what to add (or remove) from your to-do list.
⚙️ Streamline Your Week Guys, there’s new Canva Magic to play with! One thing that I always need more of in my business is brand-relevant stock photos…I use them for Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram…even sometimes for the cover of a new course in the Academy! Over the years, I’ve used free tools like Unsplash and Canva images, paid for stock photo subscriptions and Pro images on Canva…and while I still use a lot of those, only a fraction of them actually work for my brand (or they are the same ones that everyone else is using…which doesn’t exactly help me stand out). I know I’m not alone in this. That’s why when I saw that Canva released a new Pro feature – AI-generated Branded Stock Photos – I knew that I had to check it out, and of course share it with you! 🎯Take Action Even if you don’t feel the same pressure that I did to do everything that your industry colleagues are doing, I’m still willing to bet that there’s at least one thing on your weekly to-do list that doesn’t really need to be there. I encourage you (and give you permission, if you feel like you need it) to review your weekly tasks and let one thing go. I know it feels weird, especially if you are highly self-motivated like me and have built that habit into your routine…but I promise you, it’s worth it! Reply and let me know what you are cutting from your list. Let me celebrate that win with you!
